Guangzhou Medical University was founded in 1958 and has Panyu and Yuexiu campuses. It has offered its English-taught MBBS since 2010. Selected new or continuing undergraduate students receive RMB 10,000 in one payment. Awards depend on academic merit and the annual allocation.
Second year onwards
Eligible continuing students apply again each year. You must complete the previous academic year, pass the required courses, maintain good conduct and avoid overlapping government scholarship funding. Selection considers results, attendance and practical activities. Apply with FirstLiners; fee totals stay before awards.
Scholarships depend on eligibility, selection and any required review. Plan for the full fees until an award is granted; fee subtotals do not include scholarship deductions.

Entry requirements.
Age, nationality and health
Applicants must be aged 18–25, non-Chinese, in good physical and mental health, of good conduct and without a criminal record. A senior-high diploma or higher is required. Former Chinese citizens meet the four-year citizenship and two-year overseas-residence rules ending 30 April 2026.
Academic routes
The listed routes are GPA at least 3.0/4.0 or equivalent with physics/mathematics, biology and chemistry; GCE A-level grades C or above in every subject; or the Indian requirements: State Board at least 85% in all subjects, CBSE at least 70%, and NEET at least 300 from 2024–2026. For Indian applicants, FirstLiners coordinates the university’s decision on how their board and NEET results apply together.
English
Native/official-language English; IELTS 6.0 with every band at least 5.0; TOEFL 85 with every section at least 15; Duolingo 115; or school-issued high-school English-medium proof.
CSCA
A valid Mathematics and Chemistry report is compulsory.
The general age range is 18–25. Under-18 applications need specific age approval and guardianship documents.
Indian requirements are State Board at least 85% in all subjects, CBSE at least 70%, and NEET at least 300 from 2024–2026.

Provide the notarised high-school diploma or translation. Final-year students may initially use an original expected-graduation certificate, then present the final diploma at registration.
Academic transcripts
Provide notarised high-school transcripts or translations showing all subjects, grades and the grading system. Include applicable national/international examination results, such as A-level or IBDP.
English evidence
Provide IELTS, TOEFL or Duolingo results, or accepted high-school English-medium evidence. Native/official-language eligibility remains subject to admission assessment.
CSCA result
Provide a scanned valid CSCA Mathematics and Chemistry score report.
Recommendation
Provide one headmaster/teacher recommendation, signed and carrying the recommender’s telephone number and email address.
Study plan
Write at least 500 words in Chinese or English explaining your intended study.
Passport
Provide FirstLiners with the information page of your valid passport.
Medical examination
Use the Chinese or English Foreigner Physical Examination Record. Complete every item, medical opinion and doctor’s signature, with the hospital seal. Results are valid for six months.
Police clearance
Provide a non-criminal-record certificate within its validity period.
Introduction video
Record a three-to-five-minute English self-introduction about China, your choice of GMU and study expectations; maximum file size 50 MB.
Financial support
Financial Guarantee Letter and scanned supporting funding documents in Chinese or English.
CV
Applicants who are not fresh school graduates provide a CV covering their background.
Under-18 guardianship
If under 18 on 30 August 2026, provide original signed, notarised guardian authorisation. Overseas notarisation requires Chinese embassy endorsement. Obtain specific age approval because the general eligibility range is 18–25.
Nationality history — if applicable
Former Chinese citizens supply the supporting nationality and overseas-residence records for the four-year citizenship and two-year residence rules ending 30 April 2026.
